Unrestricted Music downloads? written 4 years ago
Apparently, Yahoo is offering an unrestricted MP3 download of some music track for $1.99 on their site. It looks like they’re also considering a larger music library, and asking $1.09 for unrestricted, DRM-free Mp3s.
I didn’t even know the Music companies were happy about letting their music out into the wold DRM free… I thought this is where DRM all came from, and was to answer for much of the antagonism between the distributors and the record labels. Is this whole apple-proprietory thing really just an excuse to force itunes downloads to only play on ipods?
