Photography Guide

Recently with any photos I’ve taken, I’ve duplicated them here and on flickr as I’ve wanted my own personal repository for pictures and such, but liked the “offsite-ness” that flickr provides.

This has become somewhat tiring, so I looked into the API for flickr, and seeing lots of words like SOAP and XML-RPC I begun scratching my head. Luckily some kind chap made phpflickr. This provides a neat php api for the complicated flickr stuff.

So I think I’ll abandon the inbuilt-sennir-gallery, and move over to a flickr thing (much like everybody else). This is ofcourse providing I can be bothered to do such a thing.

Update

Well I’ve had a play with the phpflickr api, and it seems quite fun. And once I’ve worked out how it works the back end stuff should be a doddle. Making it look pretty will, however, be another issue.

Glad the phpflickr works well. It does’nt matter if it aint pretty its the photo that counts.

But if the photo aint that great (as I’m unfortunately quite good at taking bad photos), then having it presented nicely counts for something I’m sure :)
