Gloomy Outlook written 6 years ago
Whilst poking my head out the windows this morning, I could smell the familiar scent of Manchester — rain.
I cringed as I got ready for uni, hoping it might stop soon, but alas the drips did fall. Only a slight drizzle on my way out, which wasn’t too bad. I spied Sam on his way in, and stole shelter under his umbrella for the last 5 mins. Clever man that Sam.
However, whilst enduring the fun that is Numerical Linear Algebra, the heavens sprang a leak, and as I trotted out of the MSS building at the UMIST campus water did fall. Much melodramatics, cycling and raining later, a very, very soggy Rob arrives home. One stinkingly hot shower, and an even hotter coffee returns Rob to his original state of cheer.
A quick look at the forecast (→) for the next few days quickly removes all glee. I can’t wait to leave here, and find somewhere a little more friendly towards those that morally oppose the wearing of coats.
