No Caffeine for a week written 4 years ago

Cup of tea

For the week commencing 6th March 2006, I won’t have any caffeine based drinks.

After reading such articles saying how coke and sodas will generally kill you, and also out of morbid curiosity I want to see if I can last a week without drinking tea/coffee/coke/fizzy drinks. Consider that I’ve had 9 cups of tea today - even more if you consider that my tea-drinking-mug holds twice as much as a normal cup - this might be harder than I think.

I’ve said a lot of times to people with addictions (namely smoking…) “just give it up”. Am I talking bollocks? Is it possible?

What on earth do none-tea-drinking people drink to warm themselves up? How do they fill those minutes when work is just too much? How do they get rid of that horrible drowsy feeling after a late night?

Will I survive? Place your bets…

Oh dear, I thought you were joking yesterday! Sure, I give you 2 days. Does this explain your headache you had tonight?

Probably, it also explains the general grouchiness.

Or are you referring to me drinking the Lemsip? That was generally because that was all I could come up with as a substitute.

This will be interesting, I didnt realize how much tea you drank, even with your massive tea mug.
