DRM Free Music in the UK written 1 year ago
1. Amazon.co.uk MP3 store
Making a big deal of it’s DRM-free status, Amazon has joined the market offering MP3s for sale, alongside it’s regular proddable products. Purchases are made via the familiar web interface, and then the downloads are completed in a standalone download manager that promises to inform your media player of choice there’s new tunes to play.

2. Play.com
Play.com have also ventured into the MP3 market, telling all about their juicy mp3s available from their webstall. Downloads can only be managed via the website itself. Tracks are downloaded individually, whereas full albums are delivered zipped up along with album art.
Tracks can be re-downloaded from the web interface, up to a certain number of times - varying from track-to-track as decided by the record label.
