The ones that could have been written 4 years ago

It may not seem like it, but the redesign you see before you today is actually the product of about a years worth of tinkering and fiddling and many, many, many, many, many , many, many redesigns before you see the end product on screen now. I thought I’d share some of the ideas I’ve had over the past 12 months:

The layout on this page is kinda crappy, but I couldn’t think of a nice way of laying out this many weirdly size images

The old site style

Some contrasting colours at first

Then for some reason here I tried to make everything as small and cramped as possible

For something a bit more au-naturel, this design tries to emulate an old wooden radio

This style reminded me a little too much of a tube map. I like the pixel art style though.

This was a re-working of the existing logo and some deeper colours.

This was almost the design I stuck with, and spent a lot of time constructing. I spent too much time fiddling with little bits and in the end the design was just too fiddly with to maintain.

… which leaves us with the current design. Nice and simple.
