Camera Lens

I’ve started looking more into the technical aspects of photography, ever since the possibility of getting a DSLR became more likely with their beginning to reduce in price. Unfortunately, a camera with interchangable lenses, and complete flexibility over the settings on the the picture I found I knew very little about “how” to take a picture.

There are many more variables to keep track of, and numbers to figure out what they mean. Using a compact automatic camera, so many things are taken care of behind the scenes, it’s easy to take it for granted that pictures will in general, look alright, regardless of where your point the camera.

As I don’t actually own a DSLR camera, much of the information is going to be obtained from websites/books/magazines. I do have access to film SLR cameras, and those will be my main reference points.

All of the photos in this section are taken by myself, unless otherwise stated.
